Active Grants

  • Clean Fuels Advanced Technology Project (CFAT)Funded by the N.C. Department of Transportation and administered by the NC Clean Energy Technology Center, this grant is focused on reducing transportation related emissions in NC counties that have air quality concerns. 
NEW! A new round of funding has  been released, and the applications are due June 8, 2018.  Awards will be announced by September 2018. For application and more information click here.

Maximum award per project: $300,000
Minimum award per project: $25,000

Eligible projects include: 
  • Alternative Fuel & Advanced Technology Vehicle Leases
  • Alternative Fuel & Advanced Technology Vehicle Conversions
  • Mobile Idle Reduction Technologies
  • Diesel Retrofits

  • Volkswagen Settlement - North Carolina will receive approximately $92 million of the $2.9 billion settlement allocated for projects through th EPA's Environmental Mitigation Trust.
