UCPCOG is hiring!

UCPCOG is Hiring a Resilience Project Coordinator

The Resilience Project Coordinator position will start in September and will serve as the Upper Coastal Plain region’s resource for community and climate resilience for 11 months.  All 46 local governments across the five counties (Edgecombe, Halifax, Nash, Northampton, and Wilson), will be invited to engage with these members to conduct various resilience focused activities, including activities related to stormwater control/flood mitigation, parks/recreation planning, urban/community forestry, public recycling programs, general resiliency technical assistance, and more.  Staying true to UCPCOG’s mission and the purpose of COGs, the member will be encouraged to develop new partnerships that can promote resilience on a larger scale or in a more efficient manner, while also enabled to delve into small but meaningful projects at the local level (plus everything in between).  The member will be expected to serve as a liaison to all 46 local governments and the COG on all matters related to community/climate resilience.   Learn more and apply here: https://americorps.hiringthing.com/job/791795/resilience-project-americorps-coordinator
